Samsung Electronics operated the "C-Lab (Creative Lab) Exhibition Hall" at CES 2026 — fully supporting global market entry for Samsung-backed startups. The exhibition hall (January 6-9 local time at the Venetian Expo''s Eureka Park startup zone) featured 15 C-Lab startups presenting new technologies and services in AI, robotics, and digital health. This CES participation goes beyond simple "exhibition support" — Samsung''s open innovation model is now extending to regional startup ecosystems and affiliated companies (finance). The 15 companies: 8 from C-Lab Outside (external startup incubation program), 1 from Samsung Electronics-Daegu Creative Economy Innovation Center joint incubation, 2 from C-Lab Inside (in-house ventures), 4 from Samsung Finance C-Lab Outside. Notably, 7 of the 15 are startups originating from regional bases in Daegu, Gwangju, and North Gyeongsang — the highest regional company participation in C-Lab exhibition history. Core message: "Creating growth paths without moving to the Seoul metropolitan area" — Samsung has expanded C-Lab Outside to Daegu, Gwangju, and North Gyeongsang since 2023, providing workspace, stage-specific consulting, and connection opportunities with Samsung and affiliates. 40 regional startups identified and incubated to date. Regional portfolio: AI mental care sound (Stress Solution, North Gyeongsang); spatial customized digital scent (DeepScent, Gwangju); companion animal progressive disease analysis (Sipilliter, Daegu); multilingual subtitle/dubbing automation (Onion AI, Gwangju); microorganism-based recycled plastic purity enhancement (Repla, North Gyeongsang); on-device multimodal LLM (Univa, Daegu); enterprise video generation/editing (Ilman Baegman, Daegu Creative Economy Innovation Center). "Repla" won CES 2026 Innovation Award with its plastic composition analyzer Puri-Checker — demonstrating regional programs delivering real results. Total 17 CES Innovation Awards received by Samsung C-Lab ecosystem companies at CES 2026.
