Yesan County announced it conducted road name address education using the metaverse (virtual reality) platform "PLACE_B" for 3rd-4th grade elementary school students in the county. PLACE_B is a metaverse (virtual reality) platform developed by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for educational purposes -- allowing real road name addresses to be used in a virtual city environment. Yesan County conducted education titled "Metaverse Platform-Utilizing Road Name Address Elementary Education" starting at Yedeok Elementary School on the 2nd, followed by Sapgyo Elementary School, Sillyewon Elementary School, and Godeok Elementary School. Key educational content includes road name address assignment principles, how to read and use addresses in emergency situations (calling emergency services requires knowing your exact address), and navigation using address-based systems. The emergency preparedness dimension: for children, knowing how to accurately communicate their location in an emergency is a safety skill; the metaverse platform makes the abstract concept of addresses immediately practical by giving children experience finding locations using addresses in a simulated environment, building the intuition they would need in a real emergency.
