Seokyeong University (President Kim Beom-jun) announced it will host a demonstration event for the adaptive metaverse musical "RE:MEMBER" core modules on the 26th — an empirical project under the "Genre-Specific Cultural Technology (CT) Professional Training Project" organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and KOCCA. The demonstration (held at Seokyeong University's AR·VR room on the 23rd for general public and expert invitees) tests metaverse performance core modules that adapt and change based on individual audience reactions. "RE:MEMBER," a sequel to the 2022 metaverse musical "Mongyudowondo," depicts a mountain god who existed only in people's dreams returning to the world through the medium of a performance venue — presenting two different branching story paths and artworks. The performance runs in "Digital SCON Black Studio," a virtual black box performance venue built on Unreal Engine, where audiences connected to the system can freely view the performance from desired angles while moving throughout the venue, and can also observe digital actor characters.
