How Should the Creative Ecosystem of the AI Era Change? Web3 and Copyright Series 1: In the era of generative AI and Web 3.0, digital content copyright is being redefined on new norms and technological foundations. Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism establishing an institutional improvement consultative body is the signal shot. In an era when generative AI writes, draws, and creates video, content is overflowing but copyright is becoming increasingly vague. MetaX examines the collision and reorganization process between core technologies including digital content, virtual assets, and artificial intelligence and copyright in the Web3 era. The creative ecosystem challenge: traditional copyright law assumes a human author who creates an original work; AI-generated content challenges this assumption at every level; the training data question (is using copyrighted works for AI training fair use?); the output question (who owns AI-generated content?); the attribution question (how do we credit the human creative labor embedded in AI training data?). The Web3 response: blockchain-based licensing and attribution systems that create transparent records of which creative works contributed to which AI outputs; smart contract royalty distribution enabling automatic compensation to original creators when their work is used in AI training or when AI outputs derived from their work are commercialized.
