The Ministry of Education and Korea Enterprises Federation (KEF) signed an MOU at FKI Tower in Yeouido, Seoul on the 6th to strengthen economic education in elementary and secondary schools, with plans to utilize a metaverse platform for high school student economic content learning. The two organizations will collaborate to train university students as economic education instructors and develop educational content enabling students to learn fundamental economic knowledge and develop entrepreneurship capabilities (challenge spirit, problem-solving, creativity). KEF plans to: train economics education "Young Leaders Club" graduates as mentors for after-school programs at elementary schools; develop free-semester economic education programs for middle schools; establish a metaverse platform for high school economic content learning. KEF Chairman Ryu Jin (Poongsan Group Chairman): "We will help students easily and enjoyably learn economic knowledge and entrepreneurship through differentiated economic education programs provided by university students who completed KEF's systematic training." Education Minister Lee Joo-ho: "We expect KEF's economic education program support to help students grow into talent with challenge spirit, problem-solving ability, and creativity — we will continue cooperating with KEF for student-tailored economic education."
