Sogang University Graduate School of Metaverse announced on the 14th a cooperation agreement with AhnLab Blockchain Company (AhnLab's blockchain subsidiary) to create a healthy performance culture ecosystem. The industry-academia cooperation agreement signed at Sogang University's Gabriel Hall covers: joint development and demonstration of blockchain-based NFT ticket systems; performance media platform construction; technical support and system management for NFT ticket pilot projects; joint development of education curricula for performance industry professionals; co-operation of new performance culture platforms.

The initiative was prompted by the need to jointly develop technology preventing illegal ticket transactions (scalping/resale) that hinder performance culture development, creating a healthy performance environment where both providers and consumers can safely and fairly trade tickets. Ten performance planning companies joined as tripartite participants for NFT ticket system demonstration, including MediaCode C&C (festival/event/concert specialists), OllathatPerformance (immersive performance production), Raygen (musical production), and others. Dean Hyun: "We need new media platforms for mid-small performance organization promotion and a ticket trading system with lower fees and improved access rights — a new performance culture ecosystem is necessary." AhnLab Blockchain Company officer Lim Joo-young: "We will actively support this NFT ticket system development and demonstration based on our accumulated blockchain technology."
