Yangsan City, South Gyeongsang Province, announced on the 13th that in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and ICT, it will operate an "Information and Creativity Experience Classroom" for digital capability strengthening for 3 months from September including YouTube content creation, drone coding, metaverse experience, and AI education. The experience classroom operates on a small-scale basis and is equipped with YouTube studio equipment (camera, chroma key, microphone, lighting, etc.), enabling participants to directly learn YouTube content creation, drone coding basics, virtual metaverse experience, and AI model construction. This program aims to enhance citizens creativity and necessary digital competencies. The digital capability building significance: Yangsan as a mid-size city in the Gyeongnam manufacturing region has residents who need digital skills for career advancement in an increasingly automated manufacturing environment; the comprehensive digital curriculum (content creation + coding + metaverse + AI) provides multiple entry points for participants with different interests and background; the YouTube content creation component is particularly practical -- enabling participants to develop skills for personal branding, supplemental income, and communication in digital-first job markets.
