Korean circus performance team Circus Dilab performed at Japan street festival "2024 Shizuoka Daidogei World Cup." The Shizuoka Daidogei World Cup, celebrating its 31st anniversary this year, is Asia largest scale street performance festival held for 4 days in early November, with 150+ artist teams from around the world participating. "Circus Games" is a performance that choreographs circus juggling skills to evoke various sports competitions, with the core being cute props and the characters of the two performers. The performance venue was hot with Japanese audience laughter and reactions far exceeding general expectations. Circus Dilab Joon Sang Lee (stage name: Jundia) and Ham Seo-yul artists completed a total of 8 Daidogei World Cup performances at 2 per day from November 1 to 4. Ham Seo-yul stated "the praise from Japanese artists was another kind of thrill. We also look up to and have admired Tempei and other performers we encountered" -- expressing the mutual artistic respect between Korean and Japanese street performance communities. The international performance significance: appearing at the Daidogei World Cup (the most prestigious street performance festival in Asia) validates Circus Dilab international quality level and opens opportunities for European and North American festival invitations where Daidogei reputation carries weight.
