Grand Prize Team Receives 5 Million KRW Prize Money and Internship Opportunity
645 Students from 87 Universities Nationwide, 193 Teams Participated... Total 12 Teams Won Major Awards
The awards ceremony for the "22nd KPR University Student PR Idea Competition" organized by comprehensive communications group KPR (President Kim Ju-ho) was successfully concluded. The prestigious Grand Prize went to the team of Son Hyeon-ji from Sejong University, Lee Min-ju from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Lee Woo-jeong from Hanyang University, and Choi Seon-ho from Kookmin University. The winning team developed a comprehensive PR plan for Dolby Laboratories -- addressing how to increase awareness and adoption of Dolby technology among Korean consumers through integrated communications campaigns. The competition drew 645 participants from 87 universities forming 193 teams -- demonstrating strong interest in PR careers among Korean university students. KPR significance: KPR is one of Korea leading independent PR agencies; the annual student competition serves both talent identification (KPR recruits from top performers) and industry development purposes; internship opportunities for winners provide a bridge from academic PR to professional practice; the Dolby brief required participants to understand both technical product communication and consumer brand building.
